Our goal is to plan the creation of a Learning Object based on the Web in order to help students master the conditional forms, and to reuse it in different settings and for different purposes.

Objectives
Justification
The goal of this team project is to develop a Learning Object for the four Conditionals, which are:
- The zero conditional: to describe scientific rules
- The first conditional: to express a real possibility in the future
- The second conditional: to describe unreal or unlikely events in the future
- The third conditional: to imagine a different past
Based on this and on the immersion of the members of the group in the learning teaching, our team has decided to create a Learning Object for face-to-face course that helps students to master one of the most confusing topics for expressing hypothetical situations: conditionals.
This Learning Object will be designed for middle-class students who are studying at the private high school of the ITESM Campus Puebla and for students with different background and ages from the Language Centre at the ITESM Campus Central de Veracruz whose objectives differ from those of the Prepa Tec high school in that they do not try to improve paper-based TOEFL scores but to develop communicative skills.

Welcome
Conditionals are sentence structures that explain a particular situation of circumstance. If this happens, then that happens. Conditionals are commonly referred to as "if sentence structures" because they often contain the word if.
When learning conditionals, it is most useful to construct your lessons so they follow a logical progression through the four conditionals.
Start with the first conditional, and make sure you provide ample time to fully grasp the concept before moving on to the second.
Simple assessment tools, like quizzes or games should be implemented after each lesson to make sure that you truly understand the concepts you are covering and are not just nodding in agreement.
This process is useful for all student populations, but particularly for ESL students who may require additional time and practice to fully grasp some of the more difficult concepts. Be as flexible as possible with your schedule, and move on to learn and practice!
Warmly,
Leo, Lupita and Ninel.
